10 Reasons The Future Is Definitely Female

Sure, feminism and gender equality have come a long way, but women still have a long fight ahead of us. Thankfully, the tide is finally turning in our favor. The future is female without a doubt — here’s why:

  1. Women are fed up. We’re simply tired of all the crap. It’s been going on as long as we can remember, and we’re over it. We deserve a seat at the table, and we’ll keep fighting until we get it. Our independence has been a long time coming, and we’ve fought every step of the way to achieve the best we can get.
  2. Women are strong. We have babies, for crying out loud. I don’t know a single man who would willingly go through all that. We are resilient and tough and better still, we have incredible endurance. Our strength is what has enabled us to persist despite centuries of struggle. We have our own particular brand of power, and we’re ready to let it shine.
  3. Women are bonding together. Some of us have allowed petty differences to get between us in the past, but we’re beginning to see past that. Our common struggle is more important and we have to focus if we want to prevail. Fighting among ourselves accomplishes nothing. When we come together, we can truly achieve anything, and more and more of us are beginning to realize that.
  4. Women are speaking out. Too often we’re afraid of judgment, harassment, and dismissal. We allow those who fear our strength to patronize us and minimize us, and we quiet down for fear of being called bossy or bitchy. No more of that foolishness! We’ve allowed ourselves to be oppressed for far too long. There is nothing bitchy about speaking up for our rights.
  5. Women are emotional. It’s insane that women are devalued for having strong emotions. Our emotions are what make us human. We’re compassionate and empathetic, and we care deeply about our world and what happens in it. Our passion and conviction carry us through the toughest of trials. We succeed because we genuinely care, and anyone who views our feelings as a weakness is making a huge mistake.
  6. Women are great at multitasking. It’s a skill we’re proud to have, and it helps us manage our crazy-busy lives. As we’re often raising children, taking care of others, and working our butts off, we get better and better at it. It’s such an important life skill and it makes us super badass. We can truly do anything.
  7. Women are patient. Our patience is our secret weapon. We work and strive and endure with the knowledge that if we keep at it, our efforts will pay off. We have to be patient — we don’t really have any other choice. Much of our success throughout history has come from our ability to work until we get what we want, but still understanding that it takes time.
  8. Women can empathize. We’re in tune with the struggles of others because we, too, have been marginalized in some way. We may not have the same experiences, but we’re willing to listen and learn. We use that as a strength in everyday life to reach out and connect to other people. We’re wonderful at networking and bringing together those who might never get along otherwise, and that’s going to help us connect the people around us to create a better world.
  9. Women are smart AF. This makes it all the more ridiculous when people talk down to us. We’re just as intelligent as any man, and we know it. We’re done putting up with the insulting notion that our gender somehow makes our brains inferior to others’. It’s sexist, antiquated, and quite frankly, completely incorrect. We know what we’re capable of, and we’re going to use our intelligence to finally get the equality we deserve.
  10. Women carry the future of the human race. Whether we individually choose to have children or not, we’re still the people who do it. We carry children, we birth children, we raise children, and we can do all of it without men. All we really need are sperm donors. Without us, there’s literally no future for humankind.
