Three students at Northwest Iowa Community College have been charged with assault after they pulled a “practical joke” on their roommate, feeding her dead skin from one of their feet that had been put into a bag of grated cheese. The incident went down in March and now they’re paying the price for their tasteless and frankly disgusting actions.
- The victim, who lived in the Osceola Hall dorm room, had no idea what was happening. The fateful day when 20-year-old Lindsey Ann Cundiff, 19-year-old Kyiah Elaine Kastner, and 20-year-old Ellie Thompson peeled the dry skin from their feet and dumped it into a bag of grated cheese before watching the unnamed roommate eat it was a day like any other. Classes were still happening at the school and enhanced hygiene practices were in place, but no lockdown was happening just yet. Whatever made the girls do this is beyond comprehension.
- Imagine eating someone’s dead foot skin! This is absolutely horrendous to even think about, let alone to be the person it actually happened to. It’s unclear how the roommate eventually realized what had happened to them or how they reacted when they did realize what happened. I can’t even imagine!
- The campus began investigating the students and their foot skin stunt soon after it happened. VICE reached out to the school for a statement and received the following reply: “We hold the quality of instruction and safety of our students and employees as our highest priorities. We are aware of the incident and are cooperating with the proper authorities in the investigation.”
- The three girls responsible have since been charged with assault. According to nwestiowa.com, while the foot skin incident took place at 6 p.m. on March 13, the girls weren’t arrested until the week of April 20. It’s unclear what their punishment might be or what’s going to happen, but oh man, this is some crazy stuff.
- Bottom line: never trust communal cheese. It’s disgusting to think that your roommates might think that putting dead foot skin in your food is a hilarious idea, but it happens (and probably not as rarely as we might hope). Ugh. How disturbing!
