10 Downsides Of Being A Relationship Girl Who’s Single AF

Being single is pretty rough sometimes, but it’s even worse for relationship girls who absolutely adore being part of a happy couple. If this describes you, then you’re seriously mourning the death of your last romance and can’t believe that it’s taking so long to find someone new. Here are 10 downsides of being a relationship girl who’s single AF:

  1. You swoon at the TV. There’s nothing worse than when you’re a true romantic and have no one to share that with. Instead, you’re left swooning at romantic comedies and don’t actually see anything funny about them.
  2. You mourn the absence of weak-in-the-knees first kisses. If you love being in love, then you love making out, too. But you especially love that first kiss because it’s the best. Even if you’re kissing your dates, since you’re still single you haven’t found anyone you want to keep kissing, and that’s the ticket.
  3. Dates are not enough. You can’t really get to know someone in the span of a few hours. When you’re in a relationship, that’s when the good stuff happens – the late night philosophical talks, the bonding over random common interests, the butterflies, etc.
  4. You miss holding hands. Just one of the perks of being part of a happy couple. It’s pretty rare to hold hands with someone you went on a first or second date with. Sigh.
  5. You’re not into casual dating. You were probably born in the wrong century since you hate casual dating so much. You’re not into hooking-up and are looking for the real deal. As a result, you get a lot of guys telling you they’re “just not ready.”
  6. You just don’t get love today. What happened to flowers and chocolate and holding doors open and picking someone up in their car for a first date? Dating today seriously blows and you’re just not into it. You want actual romance, not text messages.
  7. You want things to move fast. You don’t think it’s a bad idea to move at lightning-speed when you’re into a guy. You prefer it because the sooner, the better.
  8. You’re not a good first date. Okay, you are, but you say all the things you’re not supposed to. You bring up your exes sometimes and never fail to mention how badly you want to fall in love again. Oops. But you can’t stop.
  9. You think about your past a lot. You don’t want to regret breaking up with anyone – and for the most part you don’t. But you still can’t help wondering what went wrong.
  10. You’re super impatient. You get that your Prince Charming might not even exist and that it could be a while before you find love again but you absolutely hate that fact. What’s taking so long?
