You don’t need a boyfriend in order to experience the pleasure of an orgasm – your two hands are just as skilled as any man is. Besides, when you’re on your own, you don’t have to worry about returning the favor to make your partner peak. That’s only one of the dozens of physical and mental benefits of satisfying yourself. Here are even more reasons to set aside some time to hop into bed early tonight (or this afternoon, if you can’t wait):

  1. It improves your mood. It might sound depressing to resort to touching yourself, because you have no one else to help you out, but taking care of yourself can actually help prevent depression. After all, peaking gives your body a natural high. There’s no better feeling.
  2. It improves your life. Even if you’re in a relationship, it’s important to find the time to satisfy yourself. The better you know your body, the easier it’ll be for you to experience ecstasy. That means that you’ll be able to tell your guy exactly what you like, saving both of you a lot of time and stress.
  3. It relieves cramps. When you’re on your period, you probably won’t want to make love with your partner because it could get messy.
