Your man shouldn’t be the sole source of your happiness. If he doesn’t call you when he says he will, then you shouldn’t sit around waiting for him to contact you. There are better things you can do with your time. Instead of pining over him, you should do something a little more productive until he gets his act together.

  1. Go out with your friends. Your life doesn’t revolve around him. Instead of staring at your phone, go hang out with your friends. You’ll still have your phone with you, so you can answer it whenever he does decide to call—and when that happens, he’ll hear your friends having fun in the background. It’ll make you look like a social butterfly.
  2. Masturbate. If just the thought of him gets you wet, you might as well use it to your advantage. Since he isn’t around to sleep with you, you can have sex with yourself while fantasizing about him. It’ll be almost as good as the real thing.
  3. Put together a date outfit. If you’re positive he’s going to call, you should pick out an outfit to use on your next date. Then you won’t have to worry about it at the last second. If he makes the biggest mistake of his life by refusing to call, then you can use that outfit at a club to find a new guy.
  4. Stalk him on social media. If you’re still getting to know him, you have to do your research. Find his Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, and Tumblr, so you can figure out if he’s worth your time. You might stumble across something that’ll make you second guess your decision to date him.
  5. Text an old friend. You’re staring at your phone anyway, so you might as well contact someone you haven’t spoken to in a while. Of course, you might end up feeling your heart drop whenever the phone beeps and it isn’t him. As long as you can handle that, talking to your friend should cheer you right up.
  6. Clean your room. If you’re going to invite him over as soon as he calls, then you should clean up your room, so that you’re ready for his arrival. That way, you’ll have one less thing to worry about later on, and can focus on how you’re going to make your move.
  7. Read an erotic book. If you want to get him off of your mind, you should read a romance novel. That way, you’ll be so focused on the character in the story that you’ll forget all about the “real life” boys you know. Everything’s better in fiction.
  8. Sign up for Tinder. When the guy you like won’t call, it can destroy your confidence, but seeing how many men swipe right for you will make you feel better. You don’t need to actually hook up with any of them, or even talk to them. As soon as they give you a confidence boost, you can turn the app off.
  9. Create a list of goals. A boyfriend isn’t the only thing worth having in life. That’s why you should create a bucket list of everything you want to do that doesn’t include a man. Then you can work on achieving those goals while you’re waiting for his call.
  10. Call him. If you like him so much that you can’t stand another second without him, then do yourself a favor by calling him up. Who says that the man is the one who has to initiate every conversation? If you want to talk to him, then just talk to him.
