10 Ways You’ll Feel When You Really Love A Guy

Being in love is one of the best feelings in the world. It’s like all of your emotions are on overdrive and you’re feeling everything at a much higher caliber than you normally would. However, the feeling of love can often get confused with infatuation. So, how do you know if you’re truly in love with your guy? Here are a few signs of what you’ll be feeling when it’s real.

  1. You feel extremely giddy. When you really fall in love with someone, you’ll start to notice how everything seems to be a little more lighthearted and less serious. You might find yourself laughing little things off and just feeling generally giddy and giggly. Sure, this feeling can happen when you have a simple crush on someone, but if that feeling doesn’t seem to fade the more you get to know the person, there’s a good chance you’re really in love with them.
  2. Being apart can be so hard. When you’re in love with someone, especially if that love is brand new, you won’t be able to get enough of your guy. You’ll be already looking forward to your next date before the current one ends, counting down the minutes until you see each other again, and you’ll feel less happy or even down when you’re apart. When you’re in love with someone, you’ll physically feel better when you’re around them because they bring out the best version of you.
  3. You’re overly energetic. Being in love can make you feel like you’ve been supercharged, like you’ve just drunk several cups of coffee in a row. The feeling of love is exciting and exhilarating and can translate to physical energy in our bodies making us hyper and always on the go. If you’ve found yourself overly productive lately or way more active than usual, love could be the culprit.
  4. You’re more confident than you’ve ever been. One of the best things about being in a great relationship is that your partner adores you just the way you are. The right man for you will make you feel more beautiful than you’ve ever felt, sexier than you’ve ever felt, and completely comfortable in your own skin. A side effect of being in love is definitely walking into a room with a vibe and confidence that you’ve never had before. Embrace it.
  5. You’re less concerned with minor inconveniences. When you’re in love, you’ll generally feel happier so little things that used to annoy you or throw off your day just won’t seem as important anymore. I mean, who cares if you get stuck in traffic or you spill your coffee when you’re head over heels in love with an amazing guy? Not sweating the small stuff as much is a great perk of love.
  6. You’ll feel terrified of losing him. On the flip side of all of the abundant happiness, you will have to deal with a little more worry and fear in certain situations. When you really love someone, the stakes are much higher when you think about the things that could potentially break the two of you apart. You’ll find yourself feeling more worried about his health and safety and possibly a little stressed over the idea of ever losing him. These extreme feelings just prove that you truly love him, but try not to let them consume you or squelch your happiness.
  7. Your thoughts of the future might shift. When you fall in love with someone, you’ll start to envision them in all of your future experiences and plans for your life. You’ll probably daydream more often and whenever you think of the things you want to accomplish, you’ll picture him by your side. If it becomes difficult to imagine a future without him, there’s a good chance you’re really in love with him.
  8. You feel a sense of peace and ease around him. The people we love the most tend to have a calming effect on us, probably because we feel so safe and secure around them. If you’re typically a high-strung, high-stress type of person, you may find yourself feeling more relaxed about life in general or less rigid with the way you handle situations. This can often be a good thing because it allows us to lighten up in areas that we may have taken too seriously or been too worked up. Love has an incredibly powerful sense of peace about it, almost like a big sigh of relief.
  9. You’re extremely protective over him. When you fall in love with someone, their happiness suddenly becomes just as important to you as your own is. You’ll find yourself constantly looking out for him, making sure he’s taking care of himself and that he’s happy. We want the people that we love to have fulfilling and amazing lives so, it’s common when you fall in love to have a powerful desire to take care of the person you love.
  10. You’ll feel like you’ve known him your whole life. You’ve probably heard people say they feel like they’ve known their soulmates their whole life and that statement is very true. When you fall in love with someone and the two of you get to know each other more and more, you’ll start to feel like they know you on a deeper level than anyone else you’ve ever met. It won’t matter if you’ve been together months, years, or even decades, you’ll forget what it was like to not have them in your life. It’ll feel like they’ve always been there.
