Many people feel insecure about sex in some way. Particularly when you’re in a serious relationship, you want to know that you’re able to satisfy your partner. Communicating in bed is one way to ensure this happens, but if you feel awkward asking, there are ways to tell that your boyfriend is loving what you’re doing. Keep your eyes and ears peeled for these 12 signs that your boyfriend is totally satisfied in bed.
- He initiates sex. This may not be enough on its own to guarantee that he’s satisfied. After all, any guy with a healthy sex drive will always be looking to initiate a bit of action between the sheets, but it does also indicate that things are going well. If he’s regularly trying to get down and dirty with you, he’s probably happy with what goes on in the bedroom.
- He’s always in a good mood. I think we can all agree that sexual frustration tends to manifest in other ways outside of the bedroom. If you have a boyfriend who’s rather chipper most of the time, that’s probably a good thing. If you happen to be having sex regularly, that could be a big reason why he always seems to be in a good mood.
- There’s cuddling afterward. Obviously, it’s not always easy to get a guy to cuddle after sex. In our defense, most guys are tired and just want to fall asleep. If your boyfriend agrees to cuddle with you without too much cajoling, that’s usually a good sign. If the sex is good and he’s satisfied, he’ll be more likely to want to stay close to you afterward and prolong the experience.
- The sex is spontaneous. We all have busy lives and couples sometimes need to schedule when they have sex, but it’s always better when it’s spontaneous, right? No one wants to feel like they’re just going through the motions, which is why it’s so great when the urge just overtakes you and you want to rip each other’s clothes off randomly and for no reason.
- He’s affectionate even outside the bedroom. When a guy is satisfied with what’s happening in bed, he’ll almost always be more affectionate outside of the bedroom. There’ll be more hugging, back rubs, and general PDA. He’ll feel more connected to you because the sex is good. He’ll also be looking forward to the next time you have sex a lot more, which will bring out his flirty and affectionate side.
- He pays attention to your needs. For what it’s worth, some guys can be satisfied in bed even if they aren’t paying attention to your needs. However, one who’s unselfish in bed is usually satisfied with your sex life. If you’re making him feel good in bed, he’ll be far more likely to reciprocate everything you do and care that you’re enjoying yourself too.
- He wants to try new things. To be fair, this can be a double-edged sword. If he’s not happy with how things are going between the sheets, he may want to try new things to find something that he’ll like. On the other hand, if things are good, he’ll be more likely to be adventurous. He’ll step out of his comfort zone a little more to see if your sex life can become even better.
- There’s open communication. Like I said at the beginning, communication is always key for couples in the bedroom. When a guy is satisfied with your sex life, he’ll be a little more willing to talk about it. He’ll let you know what he loves that you’re doing and what he enjoys the most. It’s usually when there’s a problem that people are too afraid to say anything, so talking is a good thing. If he vocalizes how happy he is with how things are going in that department, unless he has a history of lying, you should take him at his word.
- He makes regular eye contact. It’s weird how some couples don’t make a lot of eye contact with each other during the most intimate of activities. Of course, that usually means it’s a good sign when a guy when he does stare straight into your eyes. Obviously, he’s attracted to you and wants to look at you, but he also wants to make eye contact with you as a way to connect with you because everything feels good.
- He creates a romantic atmosphere. This is just common sense, right? Do you think he’s going to go out of his way and create a romantic atmosphere with candles, flowers, etc. if he’s not a huge fan of your sex life? Granted, he might be trying a little too hard, but at least he’s putting in the effort to make your sex life the best it can be.
- There’s a lot of kissing. It’s crazy how quickly kissing can disappear during sex. In a way, it’s almost more intimate than the sex itself. That means if he’s trying to kiss you mid-thrust, he’s focused on you. It’s a good sign that he’s totally into everything that’s happening and satisfied with your sex life.
- He says your name. This might seem like a small detail but it can mean a lot. For starters, it shows that he’s engaged in what’s happening. It also means that he’s not thinking about someone else. More than anything, it means he’s completely focused on you and doesn’t want to be anywhere else. Stands to reason that he’s pretty damn happy with your sex life.
