22% Of Men Admit To Not Changing Their Underwear Every Day, Survey Reveals

Even if you’re not working out or getting particularly sweaty, it’s important for both men and women to bathe or at least change their underwear daily. However, a shocking 22% of men admitted that they don’t bother to don a fresh pair of boxers or briefs on a daily basis and it’s so gross, it’s making me want to gag.

  1. The results are from a survey by OnBuy. The company polled 2,790 men and women to uncover their hygiene habits and what they found out is insane. Twenty-two percent of guys – yes, that’s nearly 1/4 – said they didn’t bother to change their underwear on a daily basis, which is insane.
  2. Then again, women didn’t fare much better. According to the survey, 18% of women have also reworn their underwear, so it’s not like we’re doing much better, ladies. While I’m not saying you have to get a fresh pair on every 24 hours on the dot, how can you get up in the morning and get dressed for work, school, whatever without changing your underwear?!
  3. Men and women turn them inside out. Of the people who admitted rewearing their underwear, 76% of men and 69% of women said that in order to feel a bit fresher, they simply turn their worn underwear inside out. This is extra gross because then you’re putting all your downstairs bacteria, fluids, etc. onto the insides of the clothes you’re wearing.
  4. We don’t even buy new ones very often. About 13% of men and 4% of women admitted that they keep hold of their underwear for more than three years before replacing them, which is pretty crazy. When they start getting holes in them or are a completely different color than they were when you first bought them, it’s time for a change!
