Some of us are just late bloomers in love and that’s okay, so I don’t think it’s particularly weird that a 24-year-old woman hadn’t had her first kiss just yet. Sometimes these things just don’t happen! However, M’Lynn Martin was really struggling with the fact that her lips had never touched another man’s and she knew she had to do something about it. So, she hopped on TikTok and decided to take “applications” from guys who might like to share a smooch and she eventually found her Prince Charming!

- M’Lynn shared her struggle in December. The 24-year-old admitted she was having a tough time with not having enjoyed a kiss previously and was getting desperate to fix the issue. “Okay, I don’t know if anyone can relate to this or not but I am 24 and I’ve never had my first kiss. What that means is that my nervous system hasn’t memorized the feeling of someone’s lips on mine,” she said in the clip. “So when I go to sleep and have dreams where I’m about to kiss the boy of my dreams our lips never fully touch because my subconscious doesn’t know how to replicate the feeling of actually being kissed. We get so close to kissing in my dreams but we never go all the way. We can never make it happen because my subconscious doesn’t know how to replicate that feeling in a dream. I’m over it. It’s like actual agony every time I wake up still not knowing what it feels like. So I’m hereby formally accepting applications to be my first kiss.”
- The application was pretty thorough. M’Lynn posted a link to the form online which asked applicants about their current relationship status and what they wanted from love in the future. She also questioned what made the guy want to apply to give M’Lynn her first kiss and why they thought they’d be the right one for the job. By January 16, she’d found her guy.
- So who was the lucky guy? He turned out to be her college professor’s younger brother, and M’Lynn joked that she would be “kissing a homie that took one for the team.” However, she had no shortage of guys come forward for the job. “I picked a stranger, we have one mutual in common. He’s one of my old professor’s little brothers,” she explained. “But he’s really awesome so I’m really excited.”
- After they both tested negative for COVID-19, the kiss happened! Updating her TikTok followers on the big day, M’Lynn shared a photo of the duo before they locked lips and said she was thrilled with her decision. “I picked a stranger named Ian because he by far had the best application. And he also happens to be the younger brother of one of my college professors, which is just so funny that I had to choose him,” she said. “This week we both got COVID tested, passed with negative results and got ready to kiss.”
- It actually turned out really well! Asked how things went, M’Lynn replied: “10/10, would kiss again.” She even revealed that her kissing partner was impressed with her moves and said that her practicing on the back of her hand for the past 10 years obviously helped her out!
