  1. She didn’t discover pole dancing until she was 43. In 2010, the former ballet dancer realized she’d have to put that form of dance on ice after she fractured her foot. That’s when she discovered pole dancing. “After my injury, a friend of mine who’s an aerialist suggested I look into pole. And I really got [hooked] on it,” she recalls.
  2. Pole dancing makes Christine feel incredible. Not only does it require incredible physical strength but it can also make you feel pretty sexy. “It’s definitely changed the way I see myself and my body,” she says. “Learning all the special techniques and awesome moves makes me feel so strong and free.”
  3. Christine does “everything” in her heels. The ultra-high shoes she wears on the pole have become second nature to her, so much so that she can comfortably wear them in her daily life. Pretty impressive!
  4. She’s won so many accolades. In 2017 and 2018, she won back-to-back gold medals in the Masters 50+ division of the Pole Sports & Arts World Federation championship. Then, in 2019, she won silver at the World Sports Games, which is so impressive!
  5. Christine believes being 55 is what makes her so good on the pole. “I never talk about my age, so people don’t even know how old I am,” she reveals. “Most of the ladies I train with think I’m in my 30s. And a lot of the girls I teach are in their 20s.” You can totally believe it – she looks amazing!
