60-Year-Old Woman Dropped Her Friends To Marry 21-Year-Old Boyfriend

You wouldn’t think that a 60-year-old woman would be attracted to a 21-year-old man or vice versa, but that’s not always true. Take Pat Shasteen and her fiance Jonathan Langevin, for instance. Despite the fact that Jonathan is young enough to be Pat’s grandson, they’re completely and totally in love and plan to spend the rest of their lives together no matter what anyone else thinks of it.

  1. Pat and Jonathan met on a dating app. Pat got a message from Jonathan on the dating app Badoo back in 2018. The computer engineering student had his age listed as 21, but Pat wasn’t too put off by that since she always liked younger guys. “Jonathan had dark curly locks and didn’t look a day over 20. His bio said he was 21,” Pat said, according to The Sun. “I’d fancied younger guys since I was in my 30s. We got chatting and I soon discovered we both loved astrology and the outdoors.” However, he soon told her the truth: he was actually only 19 at the time. Oops!
  2. She worried that he might be a bit too young for him. “I stressed that I was too old for him as I had two daughters, aged 32 and 34, and I was a grandmother,” she said. “But thankfully, Jonathan admitted he’d always wanted to be with an older woman.” Whew.
  3. There was one problem: they didn’t leave near one another. Pat lived in Tulsa, Oklahoma and Jonathan was in Minnesota, more than 900 miles away. However, there’s no distance that can stand between true love, and soon Jonathan came to visit Pat. “When I spotted him, he was even more handsome in real life,” she recalled. “We ran towards each other and kissed passionately. It was love at first sight.” He was supposed to leave a week later but she begged him to stay so he did.
  4. Not everyone is a fan of their relationship. Not only did her friends not approve of the relationship but even her family refused to accept Jonathan, to the point that Pat eventually had to cut them out of her life. “I hoped they’d be happy for me, but instead, they sat in silence and were cold towards Jonathan,” she said. “A few days later, they told me Jonathan was using me. Another said he was young enough to be my grandson and that I needed therapy. I was so hurt. After that, I decided to cut them out of my life, as I didn’t need that negativity.”
  5. However, Pat’s adult daughters were a big fan of Jonathan. “Before they arrived I texted them ‘Just a heads up, he’s 19 and he’s moved in with me.’ When they arrived, they looked so shocked when they saw Jonathan’s baby-face. Jonathan said he hoped they could be friends and hugged them,” Pat said. “As my daughters and I watched Jonathan play around the house with my 6-year-old granddaughter, they admitted they liked him. I was relieved to have their blessing.”
  6. The sex was pretty solid too. “Jonathan may have been decades younger than me but he wasn’t inexperienced,” Pat gushed. “He knew exactly what he was doing. During the next few nights, we were all over each other. Jonathan was amazing. I felt myself falling for him already.”
  7. Now, Pat and Jonathan are planning to get married. He proposed after three months and they’re looking forward to spending the rest of their lives together. “I was over the moon. I knew it was fast, but I was turning 60 soon and I knew life was for living,” Pat said of the proposal. “I’d been waiting all my life to meet my soul mate and he was right in front of me.”
