10 Signs You’re A Highly Sexual Woman & You Like It That Way

When it comes to sex, there’s not one single level of sexual drive, but instead, an entire spectrum that ranges from being asexual (not sexual at all) to nymphomania (an actual mental disorder in which someone is so obsessed with sex they’re unable to control their urges). But along that spectrum, there are a variety of levels of sexual desire, one of which is being highly sexual. Being highly sexual doesn’t mean you’re addicted to sex, but you’re definitely more into it than most. Here are some signs this applies to you.

  1. You’re constantly thinking about sex. It used to be said that men think about sex every seven seconds, but that was debunked because that’s not even mentally possible. But, as a highly sexual woman, there’s a good chance you come pretty close to making it happen.
  2. You’re horny pretty much 24/7. If you’re constantly thinking about it, then you’re probably constantly wanting it too. There’s nothing wrong with wanting to get it on all the time, but it can create quite a distraction. However, as a highly sexual woman, you’ve probably also learned how to handle those desires and push them aside (temporarily) when necessary.
  3. You manage to turn every conversation into a sexual one. Because, if we’re to be honest, every topic can be turned into a sexual one! Case in point: “How do you want your burger cooked?” No matter how you answer, it’s sexual to a highly sexual woman.
  4. Nothing is taboo for you. As Sex and the City’s Samantha Jones once quipped, “I’m trysexual. I’ll try anything once.” In that one moment, Samantha put the highly sexual woman’s thought process out there in the open. Nothing is taboo when you’re willing to give anything and everything a try.
  5. You feel extremely comfortable naked. Why? Because being naked makes you think of sex even more and you feel sexual and ready for action. Granted, you feel like that all the time, but especially when you’re completely in the nude.
  6. You don’t believe in TMI. Not only do you not believe in TMI, but you’re the queen of it. You think that people should be open about sex and their sexuality, and you’re not really sure why the details about the last oral you gave should be off the table during brunch.
  7. You’re constantly explaining the difference between sex and love. There’s a huge difference! You can love someone you’re having sex with or have sex with someone you don’t love, but they’re two completely different things. Your mind is boggled as to why people can’t figure out this one.
  8. You masturbate more than your friends. Not that it’s a contest, of course, but yeah, you definitely masturbate more than your friends ― and not just because you need to in order to release stress, but because your sex drive demands it of you.
  9. You get turned on unbelievably easily. As in, you’re in the very small percentage of women who can probably orgasm from just nipple stimulation alone. Yes, that’s something to be very proud of. Very.
  10. You’re an expert on the female orgasm. You know every possible way to get yourself off and there aren’t many positions or sex acts you haven’t tried. Because you’re a highly sexual woman, you’re always looking for new frontiers to discover and conquer in the bedroom, and at this point, you’re pretty much a pro.

Why some women have higher libidos than others

  1. Higher testosterone levels While men generally have higher sex drives than women, that’s largely due to them having higher testosterone levels. However, hormonal variations and imbalances exist in both sexes, so if you’re a highly sexual woman, it could be that you have more testosterone than the average woman (which could be and probably is totally normal rather than a cause for alarm).
  2. Normal variations in sex drive Your sex drive doesn’t stay the same for your entire life. It’s entirely normal for it to change due to varying factors. “It’s completely normal for your libido to fluctuate and for there to be points of time — days, weeks, months, years — where your sex drive is higher than usual,” explains Dr. Jill McDevitt, resident sexologist at CalExotics.
  3. A new relationship It could very well be that you’ve turned into a highly sexual woman because you’ve met someone realy attractive that you like sleeping with. In that case, consider yourself lucky! You know your body should experience pleasure and how to make it happen, and that’s nothing to apologize for or feel bad about. Embrace it!
