Admit it — you probably put up with a wealth of BS simply because you think you have to. You’re not into confrontation and you don’t really want to rock the boat, so you soldier on, shouldering unnecessary stress and frustration. Enough! When you have a solid understanding of who you are and what you deserve, you come to realize some things just aren’t worth your time, especially these:
- Getting involved in petty AF arguments. Every mature, self-assured woman knows that no good can come from petty arguments. You have too much going on for you to be brought down to the gutter by this BS. The moment things start to get heated, real women move TF on and avoid the drama at all costs.
- Waiting around for a guy to make the first move. Waiting for a guy to always make the first move is about as mature as thinking he should pay on every date. Um, nope. You know that if you want something, you have to go out there and grab it (just maybe not physically!). Strong, capable ladies have no problem telling a guy that they’re into him.
- Friends who flake on you all the damn time. Can we just get one thing straight? There is no good reason to be a flaky friend — it’s rude, inconsiderate, and very telling of your screwed up priorities. Mature women know that these losers aren’t really friends; they’re mere acquaintances at best. You realize you have to cut them loose once and for all, and it feels fabulous.
- Guys who just want to hook up and not date. You don’t have time to wait around for a hookup guy to change his mind. Oh no, you’ve got these guys figured out the minute you lock eyes on them. NEXT! You know what you want from a relationship and you’re not afraid to demand it. You’re a catch, so why would you accept anything less than the best?
- Trying to be perfect on social media. Trying to paint a sickeningly pretty picture of your so-called perfect life on Instagram or Facebook is just pure BS. But you know that, right? You’re too busy actually living your life to pretend that you’re something they’re not. The pictures you post are meant to preserve some amazing memories, not to make people jealous.
- Guys who are lazy AF that will never change. Only naive girls wait around for a lazy guy to get off his butt and make something of himself. Now, you know that people hardly ever change because they have to not only want to change, they have to work for it. When you meet a guy with no ambition, it’s the ultimate turn-off.
- Being obsessed with your appearance. You don’t need to spend three hours primping and prepping to leave the house in a full face of makeup and you don’t have a problem running errands in your gym clothes. You know that real beauty is about feeling well and from that, looking great will follow. You love yourself as you are and don’t waste your entire life being obsessed with your appearance — there are far more interesting things about you.
- Women who hate on other women. Girl fights and bitchiness are just beneath you at this point. You’re not in grammar school and you have no interest in trying to bring your fellow females down. Instead, you avoid drama like the plague and instead aim to lift up other women and encourage and inspire them. There’s enough misogyny out there — you don’t want to perpetuate that.
- Fear of failure. When you have big dreams, there’s always a chance that you’ll falter somewhere along the way. After all, success is a journey, not a destination, and no path to greatness is ever completely smooth. You know that you’ll likely stumble or face some setbacks, but you don’t let that stop you from going after what you want. Instead, you go full speed ahead knowing that no matter what you face, you can get past it.
