93-Year-Old Florida Woman Found Stuffed In Her Own Freezer

A 93-year-old Florida woman was found dead and stuffed inside her own freezer last week. Police in Sebastian are said to be questioning her 64-year-old daughter, who lived with her at the property, over the woman’s death.

  1. No one had seen Marie Hoskins for days. Neighbors were concerned and called officers to complete a welfare check, though no one answered the door at the property when they arrived.
  2. One of Hoskins’ relatives provided police with a key to the home. When they gained entrance, they found the 64-year-old daughter, who claimed she hadn’t seen her mother in a long time. Officers then completed a search of the property.
  3. Police located Hoskins in the garage freezer. The daughter voluntarily accompanied officers to the station for questioning but so far, she hasn’t been charged with any crime. Hoskins’ body was removed from the freezer and her other relatives positively identified her, the New York Post reports.
  4. Detectives say the case is ongoing. They’re working with the medical examiner and the state attorney’s office to determine the cause of death and whether or not any crime was committed.
