Dunkin’ Donuts Is Releasing Candy Bars Flavored Like Their Coffees

Once I started working from home, leaving my apartment to walk down to Dunkin’ Donuts for a large iced coffee with a turbo shot became one of my most cherished morning rituals, not to mention the most delicious. In other words, I love DD and hearing that the brand is now offering candy bars flavored like their delicious coffee has basically made my whole week.

  1. They come in four ridiculously delicious flavors. You can get Dunkin’ Donuts candy bars, officially known as the Dunkin’ Coffee Bar, in four flavors: Original Blend, Hazelnut, French Vanilla, and Caramel. They’re being described as a “creamy coffee treat” and frankly, I’d expect nothing less.
  2. They pack a nice punch of caffeine in each bar. The Dunkin’Coffee Bar has about 26mg of caffeine per bar, which is less than half of what’s contained in a cup of coffee, but these are candy bars here so I feel like that’s acceptable. Plus, you can always eat three or four of them in a row… (not that I recommend it).
  3. This isn’t the first time Dunkin’ Donuts has branched out into the candy scene. Sure, these are the brand’s first bar, but they already sell Coffee Thins, little squares of chocolate with coffee taste and flavor infused into them as well. They’re equally as delicious, but the bars do feel a little more substantial, snack-wise.
  4. So far, they only seem to be available online. You can buy a box of four Dunkin’ Donuts candy bars — sorry, Coffee Bars — online for $5.49 at CoffeeThins.com but so far, there seems to be no word on whether or not these will ever end up in stores. Frankly, I think they’d make a great addition to the checkout section at grocery stores when you don’t want a typical snack but still something delicious, sweet, and a little bit caffeinated.
