Sam Neill has revealed that Jurassic World: Dominion has resumed filming after suffering months of delay due to the coronavirus pandemic. The Jurassic Park star is reprising his role as paleontologist Dr. Alan Grant in the movie, which he promises will be the “best yet.” I don’t know about you, but I can’t wait!

- Sam Neill confirmed the news via his Twitter page. Taking to the social media network on Sunday, he wrote, “Hold onto your hats- gettin’ my old one back on this week , and facing off dinosaurs once again. - Taking on the iconic role again has been intimidating. Despite the fact that Sam Neill originated the character of Dr. Grant, he’s still got cold feet about picking things up again nearly 30 years later. A day after his initial tweet, he shared the same photo of himself in costume again and added “Terror knows no bounds.” Given that the dinosaurs aren’t real, something tells me he was talking about the acting.
- Jurassic World: Dominion was one of the first movies to resume production. Even though they lost several months of work because of the pandemic, Director Colin Trevorrow told Empire that the break wasn’t a total loss. “For many of us, Dominion was already the biggest creative challenge of our lives, before the lockdown,” he explained. “The shooting schedule really worked to our advantage – the first four weeks we put to film were mostly sequences with dinosaurs in them. So that allowed us to get a head start on VFX and workshop some of the newer elements without the pressure of a looming deadline.”
- Jurassic World: Dominion is due in theaters in June 2021. Sam Neill is returning, yes, but so is Laura Dern, making this one dino movie you really won’t want to miss out on.
