Elon Musk Questions Why Jeffrey Epstein’s Client List Hasn’t Been Released

Elon Musk has hit out at the US Department of Justice for failing to reveal the contents of Jeffrey Epstein and Ghislaine Maxwell’s infamous client list. Musk took to Twitter to question why the contacts, likely to include many high-ranking and famous people, had been kept secret, remarking that it seems “odd.”

  1. Musk wasn’t shy about calling out the federal government. “Only thing more remarkable than DOJ not leaking the list is that no one in the media cares. Doesn’t that seem odd?” he tweeted over the weekend. He also attached a photo that included “things I will never see in my life” including a dinosaur, dragon, unicorn, and “The Epstein/Maxwell list.”
  2. Of course, Twitter always has an answer. After Musk made his tweet, it wasn’t long until a user responded with a photo of Musk himself with Maxwell. Musk clapped back pretty much immediately, writing: “Ah yes, Maxwell photobombing me at a VanityFair Oscars party – you should (ask) them why they invited her. The same people who push this photo say nothing about prominent people who actually went to his island a dozen times. Also very strange…”
  3. Some names on the list are already known. The ‘Black Book’ of Epstein’s was released in 2015 and published online by Gawkers. At the time, several big names were made public including Bill Clinton, Donald Trump, Henry Kissinger, John Kerry, and Woody Allen. However, the men listed were never investigated or charged.
  4. Maxwell’s lawyers made a deal with prosecutors to keep the book private. The full contents were not released thanks to a deal reached between Maxwell’s attorneys and the prosecutors who ultimately got her convicted. She will be sentenced for her role in Epstein’s sex trafficking ring on June 28. She faces up to 55 years behind bars.
