A Florida woman who was wanted for selling fentanyl thought she would be able to evade police. Sadly, her hiding place ended up being a bit too obvious, and Stacy Usher was arrested after she was found hiding in a couch in Inverness, Fox 13 reports.
Stacy Usher was the Citrus County Sheriff’s Office “Warrant of the Week.”
Her mugshot as well as the charges against her were posted all over the CCSO’s social media pages, alerting the public to her crimes and applauding officers for bringing her in.
Usher is a convicted felon in Citrus, Manatee, and Pasco Counties, Fox 35 reports. While her rap sheet includes grand theft, fraud, and obtaining criminal property by writing a bad check, this time she was wanted for selling fentanyl, thereby violating her probation.
In the end, she wasn’t that hard to track down.
It’s unclear how exactly they found her, but not long after plastering her face all over social media, deputies found her and arrested her from a pretty unlikely place.
The CCSO released a photo of a deputy pulling Stacy Usher out from inside the couch where she was hiding. She attempted to flatten herself beneath the cushions to escape justice, but sadly for her, it didn’t work.

Usher will now be headed back to prison.
A warrant for her arrest had been active since early November, but now that she’s been found and arrested, she’ll likely remain behind bars for a while to come.
