Gypsy Rose Blanchard Released Early From Prison, Immediately Goes Sneaker Shopping Chillicothe Correctional Center

After eight years behind bars, Gypsy Rose Blanchard has been released from prison. The now 32-year-old had been sentenced to 10 years in prison for the murder of her mother, Dee Dee Blanchard, after she convinced her then-boyfriend, Nicholas Godejohn, to kill her. Now, she’s a free woman again and immediately headed to the mall to do a bit of shopping.

Gypsy Rose Blanchard has been seeking parole for a while now.

Finally, in September 2023, a panel decided she was ready to be released. However, her own family friends wondered if it was a good decision, as they didn’t believe Gypsy had dealt with her traumatic upbringing and worried she would have trouble adjusting to life on the outside.

Nevertheless, on Thursday, December 28, 2023, Gypsy Rose Blanchard walked out of the Chillicothe Correctional Center after serving 85% of her sentence.

She didn’t waste any time getting back to real life.

After leaving prison, Gypsy Rose checked into Fairfield Inn & Suites by Marriott in Chillicothe, Missouri, where she stayed overnight. The next morning, she and her husband, Ryan Scott Anderson, headed to a local mall.

Paparazzi caught the couple, along with a convoy of cars containing a camera crew and producers for an upcoming Lifetime documentary series, as they headed to Off Broadway Shoe Warehouse in Liberty, near Kansas City, to buy two new pairs of shoes for Gypsy Rose.

She has “lots” of plans.

The Daily Mail caught up with Gypsy on her shopping trip, where she revealed that she had “lots of” plans, though she didn’t elaborate on what those were.

However, the couple then headed to a four-bedroom Airbnb in a suburb of Kansas City. They have tickets for the Kansas City Chiefs game on New Year’s Eve, and she’s hoping to catch a glimpse of Taylor Swift while she’s there.

In fact, some fans have even started a petition to convince Swift to meet Gypsy Rose in person at the game, though the likelihood of that is pretty slim to none…
