A Guy Shares Tell-Tale Signs That He’s Falling For You

Because most of us guys tend to hide our real feelings (at least at first), it can sometimes be tough to tell if the one you’re dating is genuine or if he’s playing you. Fortunately, his actions and behavior will tell you what you need to know more often than not. With that in mind, here are some tell-tale signs that a guy is seriously falling for you.

  1. He does you favors without you having to ask and without expecting anything in return. If a guy is showering you with compliments, you need to keep your guard up since he likely has a hidden agenda. Fortunately, actions speak louder than words when it comes to men showing their true feelings. If he’s doing unprompted favors or asking what he can do for you, it’s a good sign that he’s falling for you, especially if he makes it clear that he doesn’t want anything in return. It’s actually quite simple. This behavior means he’s thinking about you rather than himself. Trust me when I say that doesn’t usually happen unless a guy is digging you.
  2. He has a staring problem. Okay, I can understand why you might think it’s creepy if a guy is staring at you, but believe me when I say that it can be a good thing. A guy that is truly smitten with someone won’t be able to take his eyes off her. Unfortunately, that can lead to staring at her in a sometimes creepy way. A lot of times, he doesn’t even realize he’s doing it. Other times, he’s just trying to make eye contact with you. Hopefully it won’t get too weird.
  3. He shares his hobbies with you. He’ll want to hear about yours and share in them too. He’ll want to take you hiking or camping or share his favorite book with you. He’ll also want to experience your preferred hobbies for himself. That’s because he wants to share a part of himself with you and to learn more about you as well. If a guy isn’t developing genuine feelings for you, there’s no way he’ll bother with this.
  4. He gives you lots of smiles. Yes, this seems obvious, but it shouldn’t be forgotten. Nobody just walks around with a goofy grin on their face. That means if you notice a guy is always smiling when he’s around you, something good is happening. It’s a clear sign that he’s falling for you and may not even realize it’s happening.
  5. He embraces the oddities. Most of us aren’t as normal as we try to act. I’m sorry, that’s just the way it is. All of us have oddities and idiosyncrasies that we try to hide from people. It’s because we assume other people will be weirded out by them. But a guy who is charmed by your eccentricities and finds them cute is definitely falling for you. Frankly, he might be blinded by love, but what’s so bad about that?
  6. He wants to meet your family and friends. Guys are almost never excited to meet your friends and family. It’s nothing against them personally, it’s just a big step in a relationship. When he’s eager to do it, that means something. In fact, it means he sees something serious with you and isn’t afraid to show it. The same is true if he’s eager to introduce you to the most important people in his life in return.
  7. He has good listening skills. I’ll admit that most guys aren’t great listening. In our defense, it’s a skill that requires work and dedication. However, those skills are somehow improved when we’re super into someone. It’s kinda funny how that works. If you can tell that a guy is listening to you and remembering the things you say, it’s a good indication that he’s in the midst of falling for you.
  8. He has so much nervous energy. I’m sure most of you ladies prefer a guy who’s suave and confident, but the truth is that guys tend to be nervous around someone if they can feel themselves falling for that person, at least in the beginning. The guys who are cool, calm, and confident are probably just looking for something more casual. They can be calm because they don’t care. On the contrary, a guy with a lot of nervous energy who’s stumbling over his words is probably smitten with you. He’s falling for you and so he tries too hard to get you to like him. That’s why less suave and more nerdy guys tend to make great boyfriends.
  9. He’s protective. Okay, I’m not saying you ladies need to be protected. This isn’t Medieval Times after all. Still, a guy’s instinct will be to protect or comfort someone he cares about in times of trouble. I agree that it’s a little old-fashioned and perhaps out-dated, but it can be a clear sign that a guy is falling for you.
  10. The sex is so much better. I’m not saying there’s always a correlation between sex and your feelings for someone, but it can’t hurt, right? A guy who is genuinely falling for you is likely to be a little less selfish in the bedroom. He’ll have feelings for you and be more focused on you and your needs. It’s not always the case, but a guy who’s falling for you might be better in bed than you expect.
