Adult Easter Baskets Exist And They’re Full Of Boozy Goodness

Just because Easter is technically a kiddy holiday — religious implications aside, of course — doesn’t mean us grown-ups shouldn’t be able to celebrate too. Adult Easter baskets exist and they’re full of wonder and delight (and basically as much alcohol and chocolate as you can pack them with). What’s not to love?

  1. It’s not just kids who love candy. When I was growing up, I used to love waking up on Easter to see that fluorescent plastic grass-filled basket packed with jelly beans, a hollow white chocolate Russell Stover rabbit, and a toy of some kind. Just because adults are supposed to be a little more judicious about our sugar intake doesn’t mean we don’t still enjoy a treat. Jeez!
  2. Adult Easter baskets are totally customizable. That means you can fill them with whatever you’d like. If you’re making them for a partner, sister, friend, or anyone else, you can customize it with anything you know that person likes, from crossword puzzle books to candles or fancy body creams.
  3. Booze and chocolate are the obvious adult Easter basket centerpieces. I would start with the recipient’s favorite alcohol and add in a big bottle (or several small bottles… or a big bottle and several small bottles… or several big bottles…) of it to start with. From there, add in some of their favorite chocolates and candies. That serves as a good base to start with.
  4. Books are a good addition, as are hand creams. Or sanitizers (though no one wants to be reminded of the current state of the world when they’re trying to enjoy an adult Easter basket). Try adding in some reading material, a mini version of a board or card game, and other stuff that occupies the person’s time and keeps them busy. What about some crafting materials if the person is into that? Get creative here!
  5. At the end of the day, though, I’ll just take the booze and chocolate. I mean, I know what’s important in life.
