Airline Passenger Slammed For Watching Adult Movies On Long-Haul Flight

We’ve all been flying long enough now that everyone should be familiar with plane etiquette. It’s pretty simple: Don’t groom yourself, don’t recline into the lap of the person behind you, don’t let your bastard kids kick the seat in front of them, and most definitely don’t watch porn. It’s the latter offense that one airline passenger was guilty of, and a woman traveling on the same flight noticed on her way up the aisle back to her seat after a trip to the bathroom. What the hell is wrong with people?

The incident happened on a United Airlines flight, with the woman alerting a flight attendant to what the man was up to as soon as she noticed. The man was then told by airline staff that he couldn’t watch adult movies on a long-haul flight, but he apparently only stopped temporarily before going right back to it.

The female passenger who reported the man took a photo of the man really enjoying the videos on his phone then sent them to United via Twitter and asked them what they planned to do about it.

“Are there no consequences for watching porn on your planes? This man watched porn on and off for most of the flight. The flight attendant did tell him ‘you can’t watch that’ after I complained & showed him these pics that I took from my seat,” she wrote.

“He did stop, but only temporarily. There were people up and about in the cabin including minors who could have seen what this man was doing. I’m happy to give you the flight # and his seat # if you’re willing to take further action. As a woman, this behavior made me feel unsafe!”

United Airlines responded the same day, apologizing for her experience and asking the woman to reach out privately so the incident could be investigated. It’s unclear what they plan to do about a man “openly watching hardcore porn… with the sound on,” but there you have it.
