Aldi is known for providing shoppers with some pretty amazing bargains on high quality, delicious products, so it should be no surprise that their alcoholic offerings are just as impressive as their food. Just in time for Valentine’s Day, they’re now selling a pink-colored drink that looks absolutely delicious.
- It’s called Connellys Strawberry Country Cream. That’s right, a pink-colored, strawberry cream flavored drink that promises to be fruity, creamy, and incredibly yummy. Whether you hate Valentine’s Day or not, you have to admit this will go down a treat.
- The alcohol content is pretty solid. Aldi’s Strawberry Country Dream drink, which was first spotted by Krazy Coupon Lady at her local store, noted that it contains ABV of 13.9%. That won’t get you drunk off your head with just a glass, but it’s comparable to Baileys Irish Cream and likely meant to be enjoyed the same way, over ice or even in your morning coffee, if that’s your thing.
- It comes in an impressively big bottle. Aldi knows we’re all boozehounds, so Strawberry Country Dream comes in a 750ml bottle, giving you plenty to enjoy alone or with friends (and you should probably share it because drinking alone is a little problematic).
- Best of all, it’s cheap. If you shop at Aldi, you do so likely because you appreciate a bargain. If you wanted to overpay for your groceries, you’d go to Whole Foods, am I right? In any case, Aldi won’t disappoint you here. Strawberry Country Dream is only $8.99 a bottle, meaning you can probably afford a few and still have money to order in some pizza or Chinese (which is the real way to celebrate Valentine’s Day).

A review on Tastings.com claims that the drink has “aromas and flavors of strawberry soft serve ice cream, canned fruit punch, rainbow sherbet, and bubble gum with a satiny, soft, sweet light-to-medium body and a silky, relaxed finish evoking notes of marshmallows.” That’s very fancy language for a pretty simple drink, but hey, I’m convinced.
