Aldi Is Looking For Wine Tasters To Drink Their Vino For Free

I’m a bargain shopper and I will search out a good deal anywhere I can, which is why I do a lot of my grocery shopping at Aldi when I can. One thing the budget supermarket is great for is decently priced, delicious tasting wine, and now that I know Aldi is looking for wine tasters to try some of their vino for free, I like them even more.

  1. Who wouldn’t want to be part of the Aldi Wine Club? Every three months, Aldi looks for 30 participants to be part of a panel that tastes the store’s wine selection. Applications for the position have just reopened and I’ve never been more desperate to get a “job” in my life.
  2. It comes with some serious perks. Aldi’s Wine Club panelists not only get to learn about new blends the store is bringing out before the general public but they also get three bottles of wine to try over a six week period. Free wine? Tell me more!
  3. You’ll need to be a bit more than a novice. Applicants will need to have some level of wine knowledge to be part of the program, though obviously you don’t need to be a professional sommelier or anything.
  4. So what do you have to do? Basically nothing. Being an Aldi wine taster only requires you to try the wine and review them on social media using the #AldiWineClub hashtag. It really is that simple. You’ll need to let your followers know what you liked or didn’t like about the blend as well as tasting notes, etc. Don’t worry, Aldi provides you with a bit of info about each to help out with this!
  5. So how do you apply? All you need to do is follow the @AldiUK Twitter account throughout the duration of the program and send an email to [email protected] with your name, your Twitter handle, and a 150-word “essay” on why you’d be good for the job. Full terms and conditions for the position are available here. However, you’ll need to be a UK resident to take part. Sorry, Americans!
