Amazing Dad Turns His Daughter’s Wheelchair Into Cinderella’s Carriage

A creative and thoughtful dad made a magical transformation of his daughter’s wheelchair, turning it into Cinderella’s carriage so she could feel like the princess she is. Josh Jaconelli’s 6-year-old daughter Ava uses a wheelchair as she suffers from Aicardi syndrome, which causes seizures and vision problems. However, he wanted her to have the experience of dressing up just like other kids, so he got down to work and the results were amazing.

  1. He used some pretty basic equipment to transform the wheelchair. Cinderella’s carriage is sparkly and beautiful, but Josh was able to create the same look with some pretty basic equipment. Using a bit of tinsel, some string lights, and plumbing pipe, he was able to sprinkle a little magic into Ava’s life.
  2. She even had her Cinderella dress! To complete the Cinderella experience, Ava even had her own blue Cinderella gown and she looked so happy! In the photo Josh shared to Facebook, you can tell the little girl is so pleased with her carriage.
  3. Ava got to wear her costume to a school Halloween party. “After a lot of work done on a costume we made our wee princess her carriage and she is away to school for Halloween, enjoy princess,” Josh wrote in the post. Of course the photo went viral, racking up more than 44,000 shares and 2,000 comments.
  4. This is what you call a dedicated dad! It’s such a thoughtful and wonderful thing to do for your child and Ava is very lucky to have Josh as a dad – just as lucky as he is to have her as a daughter!
