Ambulance Blasts ‘Another One Bites The Dust’ While Parked Outside Funeral Home

A private ambulance driver was left feeling mortified after the stereo of his vehicle blasted “Another One Bites The Dust” by Queen while parked outside of a funeral home. The incident, which was captured on video, took place outside Co-op Funeralcare in Shanklin on the Isle of Wight in the UK, with several passers-by remarking on and laughing about the rather unfortunate timing.

  1. There was no ill will involved with this. Before you think the ambulance driver was making some kind of macabre inappropriate joke, think again. This wasn’t done on purpose – the song literally just came on the radio while the driver happened to be parked outside of a funeral home.
  2. The person who filmed it was shocked but amused. “I was walking to my doctor to post a prescription when I suddenly saw a private ambulance with a driver’s door open,” the anonymous person said. “It was just outside the Co-op funeral parlor. But I couldn’t believe it as I got closer I heard Another One Bites the Dust by Queen playing out on the radio. Some would say it was great comedy timing. It was real dark humor.”
  3. You can’t not laugh at this. To be honest, I feel like I’d probably find it hilarious even if I was attending a service there. It’s the kind of bizarre humor that no one can plan and that is just so ridiculous that it’s funny. It actually gives what’s likely a very traumatic situation a bit of much-needed levity. Can’t be mad about that!
