You Can Stream Andrew Lloyd Weber’s Famous Broadway Musicals Online For Free

When you think of Broadway musicals, Andrew Lloyd Weber is likely one of the first names to come to mind. The man behind some of the most popular stage shows of all times is a living legend, which is why it’s so exciting to hear that you can now stream some of his biggest productions online for free!

  1. It’s all thanks to Universal and The Shows Must Go On. The YouTube channel was conceived as a response to the shutdown of Broadway (among other things) in response to the current epidemic. After all, just because we can’t make it out to see live theater shows at the moment doesn’t mean we shouldn’t be able to enjoy them from the comfort of our own homes.
  2. Weber will air a different show of his every Friday. Every Friday night at 8 p.m., a new (or old, actually) Broadway musical by Weber will be broadcast on YouTube. It’s entirely free to watch, no subscription needed, but there’s one catch: they’re only available to watch back for 48 hours. After that, they’re gone!
  3. There are going to be some great Broadway musicals to stream! The program started on April 3 with the stream of Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat starring Donny Osmond and Joan Collins. On April 10, just in time for Good Friday, it’ll be Jesus Christ Superstar. There will be plenty more where that came from, but they’re keeping us on tenterhooks as to what we can expect. More of the schedule will be announced soon.
  4. This is a great way to see some amazing shows while self-isolating. Hopefully we’ll all be able to get back out there and attend some live Broadway musicals (or any kind of theater shows) in the coming months. While we’re stuck at home at the moment, at least we have the option to stream them! You can check out the YouTube channel HERE. You can even set a reminder for next week’s show so you don’t miss it!
