Being stuck indoors all day (and night) kinda blows, so it’s important that you stay busy and find little things to make you happy and keep you from going insane. Once you’ve run out of Netflix shows to binge on and you’re sick of playing The Sims 4, you might want to turn on one of these animal live cams. After all, what makes people happier than adorable little furry creatures?

  1. First of all, we have Dr. Margie Housley to thank for this. She did the painstaking work of tracking down all of these animal live cams and shared them on her Twitter page so that we could all tune in. Her thread now has more than 10,000 likes and it’s easy to see why. This is an amazing resource!
  2. How about some sloths to cheer you up? The Hattiesburg Zoo in Mississippi allows viewers to tune in to check out the adventures of their Two-Toed Sloth family. Chewie, Mo, and Baby Maple are sure to get up to some hijinx, and you’ll want to be watching when they do.
  3. Red pandas are pretty adorable too. The red panda live cam comes courtesy of Connecticut’s Beardsley Zoo and it’s available every day from 8:30 a.m. to 6 p.m. EST. However, the zoo warns that the animals are sometimes “on the move” and might not always be visible. Rest assured, you’ll see them at some point!
  4. Don’t forget the penguins! The San Diego Zoo may be temporarily closed but that doesn’t mean the animals aren’t still being taken care of. In fact, their African penguins seem to be having a great time from the looks of the fun they have on the live cam!
  5. Burrowing owls, anyone? The burrowing owls live in one of the San Diego Zoo’s off-exhibit breeding areas, but you can get a look at them by watching the live animal cam anytime. Not only can you see them above ground but also in their burrowing hole, which is pretty awesome.
  6. You can even watch lions! Lions are one of my favorite animals, so being able to watch them on the Smithsonian National Zoo’s live cam is a real treat. From the looks of things, they seem to do a lot of lounging around and general chilling, but wouldn’t you do that if you were a lion?
  7. There are naked mole rats too. Also from the Smithsonian Zoo, the only eusocial animals are live for everyone to see thanks to this cam. The naked mole rats have a whopping 16 chambers to explore and 25 feet of winding tunnels to check out, so rest assured, they’re keeping busy.
  8. There are giant pandas too! A total classic, you have to love giant pandas. They sometimes walk off-camera, but when they wander back in-frame, it’s a really special thing to witness.
