54-Year-Old Arrested For Illegally Castrating Man And Saying He Would ‘Consume The Parts’

An Oklahoma man was arrested and sentenced to more than 12 years behind bars for performing an illegal castration on a man at a cabin in the woods in October 2020 and keeping the severed member in his freezer. Bob Lee Allen, 54, pleaded no contest to five counts, avoiding a trial and heading straight to prison, The Oklahoman reports.

  1. Allen struck a plea deal as he knew he’d be convicted. The plea in Le Flore County District Court was the result of Allen’s belief that “a jury might convict me,” according to a statement he made to the judge. Allen’s husband, Thomas Evans Gates III, also agreed to testify against him at trial if it came to that.
  2. The victim volunteered to be castrated. The 28-year-old man flew from Virginia to Dallas in October 2020 after meeting Allen on a website whose welcome note included signatures “from theEunuchMaker and the EM Crew.” From there, he drove to Allen’s home near the town of Wister.
  3. Gates helped Allen with the surgery. According to the victim, the castration took place on a makeshift covered table in the cabin, with Gates handing over surgical implements to Allen as he performed the two-hour surgery. The victim said he was injected “in the needed areas” for numbing and recalled Allen laughing after the procedure was done.
  4. The victim believes Allen is a cannibal. Following the surgery, the victim claimed that Allen said he would eat the parts. Given that those parts were later found in his freezer, this doesn’t seem too hard to believe. The victim also revealed that Allen said he’d been performing the surgery for more than 15 years and “had six more clients on the way to have the same operation.”
  5. Both Allen and his husband were arrested after trying to visit the victim at a local hospital. The surgery, of course, did not go well, and the victim was forced to seek treatment at a local hospital. When Allen and Gates turned up, they were arrested.
  6. Allen pleaded guilty to three felony counts. Those counts included conspiracy to commit unlicensed surgery, practicing medicine without a license, and attempted distribution of a psychedelic mushroom. There were also two misdemeanor charges of drug count for not disposing of the removed testicles and a general drug count. He was sentenced to two years in jail and 10 years and one month in prison and ordered to pay more than $5,000 in fines and associated fees.
