This ‘Bar In A Jar’ Is The Perfect Gift For People Who Miss Going Out To Get Drunk

For most of us, going out to the bar on a Saturday night isn’t an option at the moment. And while we know we have to stay home and remain socially distanced in order to save lives, that doesn’t mean it doesn’t suck not to be able to enjoy a few (or a few dozen) drinks at your favorite spot. Until you can get sloppy at your local again, why not make a “Bar in a Jar” for yourself or one of your boozy friends?

  1. The premise is simple: stick a bunch of booze in a jar and that’s it. Making a Bar in a Jar is as simple as grabbing a few mini-bottles of your favorite alcohol and a jar big enough to hold them and putting the booze inside. Could it be any easier? I think not.
  2. Bar in a Jar actually makes mason jars fun again. I don’t know about you but I’m so over the whole mason jar trend. People putting salads, cakes, any number of other things in them for trendiness purposes is so annoying. However, I can totally get behind a mason jar filled with alcohol.
  3. You can customize your bar in a jar however you’d like. Whether you just want to do a collection of your BFF’s/sister’s/dad’s/colleague’s favorite drinks or you want to do a seasonal theme or whatever else, you can totally do whatever you’d like with your jar. If you’re artsy, maybe you want to hand-decorate yours for some added flair. Go for it! (You can also get this adorable sticker on Etsy if you’re less artistically talented like me.)
  4. You could even add some snacks to your jar! Just because it’s called Bar in a Jar doesn’t mean you or the recipient have to go hungry. In addition to the alcohol, why not add in some chips or candy bars or whatever other tasty treats sound nice? It’s a no-brainer.
