Bathroom Etiquette: 8 Things Women Do In Public Restrooms That Are Annoying

Ladies, we all know the horror, the blasphemy, of using public restrooms that have been used by members of the same sex. Incredibly, other women who are just as normal, clean and dainty as we are pass through a portal to another world, also known as that door with the female icon, and turn into hideous chuds. Here are just some of the things women do in restrooms that completely annoy the hell out of everyone else:

  1. Blocking the sinks with their bag/makeupUsually this isn’t a problem, unless there are only a few sinks and it’s a busy restroom, but it seems to only happen in those exact circumstances. We know we like to pretty ourselves up while we’re in there since that’s the only place we can go to be away from men’s judgmental stares, but when you leave all your stuff on the counter in front of the sinks and women start lining up to use the one available sink or contorting themselves to use the one you’re blocking, it starts pissing people off because it’s just plain inconsiderate.
  2. Hogging the ONE full-length mirror. For some reason, the people in charge of building public restrooms like to put one full-length mirror in a bathroom with twenty stalls. It’s like they get off on knowing women will fight to use it. Well, it’s sick, and if you’re that person who stands there fixing your hair for more than five seconds, just know that we all hate you, but will never tell you to move, because that’s not how we roll. We will however complain about you later to our friends.
  3. Leaving poop in the toilet.Okay, the vast majority of times it’s not actually poop in the toilet. However, we have encountered urine, tons of what appears to be clean toilet paper, wrappers from pads and tampons, and other miscellaneous and unidentifiable floating objects. And it keeps happening. What is so hard about flushing a toilet? What is so hard about throwing your stuff away in the garbage unit that comes in every stall? No one wants to hover over that, or flush someone else’s stuff, so it pretty much becomes a wasted stall that nobody uses until the cleaning person comes.
  4. Talking to each other while peeing. We’ve all been the only person in the restroom when suddenly two girls come in together blabbing. And the blabbing continues even while they simultaneously pee. They know you’re in there but they keep talking as if you’re not. It’s awkward, right? And do you know what else it is? Annoying.
  5. Talking on the phone.Similarly, some women like to answer the phone while on the crapper. The best part comes when you know the other person on the line is talking, and you flush, so that they miss whatever their friend said. Again, it’s just awkward to hear someone’s conversations so goddamn clearly, and we wish they’d just shut the hell up.
  6. Not wiping the seat.Women pee all over the seats. Somehow, it happens, and that’s fine, but only if you wipe the seat before you leave. Nobody wants to wipe someone else’s pee, so the stall gets wasted and remains vacant until an unsuspecting victim forgets to look.
  7. Taking forever. These are some of the times where women actually get highly envious of men. It seems that in areas with a lot of foot traffic, the line for the women’s room is always out the door and around the corner, while there’s not a single man in site for the men’s room. Ladies, something has to be done about this. This is the reason for why you see women using the men’s room, peeing outside, or crying.
  8. Taking kids to the restroom.Kids can be cute, but not when there’s one in front of you waiting in line to use a single restroom. You just know they’re going to take forever just to pull their pants down. And of course, it’s always the mother who has to help the kid pee, and never the father, those bastards.
