I’ve never met a Ben & Jerry’s flavor that did me wrong, so while I have my favorites (Mint Chocolate Cookie, Americone Dream, Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough), I’m always up for trying out their new releases. Their latest is called Chip Happens and frankly, I can’t wait to eat the whole thing in one sitting.
- It’s the ultimate sweet/savory combo. Ben & Jerry’s really knew what they were doing with Chip Happens, which is described as “a cold mess of chocolate ice cream with fudge chips and crunchy potato chip swirls.” How incredible is that?
- It’s a collab flavor, which is pretty cool. Chip Happens is a collaboration between Ben & Jerry’s and the Netflix baking series Nailed It! and just like the ingredients, it’s a match made in heaven. I don’t care how this flavor came about, I’m just glad it did!
- Chip Happens has been out in Australia for a little while now. Back in the beginning of April, Instagrammer @candyhunting reported that Ben & Jerry’s was planning a worldwide release for Chip Happens but that it was already available in Australia. It’s unclear why they chose to unveil the flavor there first, but now it’s finally coming to the US!
- It’s a rare and limited-edition flavor. If you want to get your hands on some of Ben & Jerry’s latest flavor, you’ll have to be pretty diligent in your search to find it since it seems somewhat rare. It’s been seen at Walmart and Target stores and should be at some supermarkets, but no guarantees as for where. In addition, because it’s a limited batch, it won’t be around forever. If you love it, you may want to find a few pints.
- If Ben & Jerry’s Chip Happens is popular enough, maybe it’ll become permanent. Sure, it’s probably not likely, but with such a delicious flavor combo, a girl can dream!
