Ben & Jerry’s Just Unveiled Two Edible Cookie Dough Flavors For The Holidays Ben & Jerry's

Ben & Jerry’s may be best known for having some of the tastiest ice cream around, but they’ve recently branched out into other semi-related products like edible cookie dough chunks. Their current offerings are already tasty, but they’ve just unveiled two new cookie dough flavors for the holidays and frankly, they both sound delicious.

  1. Ben & Jerry’s Gingerbread and Cinnamon Bun cookie dough are headed our way. Both flavors are a limited edition and like the original, you have to keep them in the freezer. That is if the bags make it that far – I’ve been known to eat one right from the store without stopping and I’m not ashamed to admit it.
  2. They’re limited edition, of course. You can kind of understand that gingerbread won’t be hanging around for too long, but why can’t Ben & Jerry’s leave cinnamon bun cookie dough on store shelves year-round? To take such a delicious treat away from us seems cruel, but I suppose it just makes us appreciate what we have while it’s here.
  3. These are great additions to the current lineup. Ben & Jerry’s already has chocolate chip cookie dough, chocolate chocolate chip cookie dough, peanut butter chocolate chip cookie dough, and half-baked in their lineup, so cinnamon bun and gingerbread are an awesome way to expand the range and really switch things up from more standard flavors.
  4. Better yet, they’re vegan! “There’s no better way to ignore the heat and start planning for season’s greetings,” Ben & Jerry’s innovation manager Jody Eley said in a press release. “The Gingerbread Cookie Dough Chunks are like building a holiday house in your mouth — the sweetness and spices are just like you remember as a kid. The Cinnamon Bun Dough Chunks will get you in the mood for special weekend brunches, and they’re vegan!” Uh, YES!
  5. Yes, they’re already in stores. Those fall and winter holidays like Thanksgiving and Christmas might seem ages away, but summer is drawing ever-closer to an end and that means it’s never too early to bring on the holiday offerings. Plus, is there ever a wrong time for either gingerbread or cinnamon buns? I think not.
