The Best Way To Eat Wendy’s Fries Is To Dip Them In A Frosty, Hands Down Wendy's

As far as fast-food chains go, Wendy’s is completely underrated in my book. They have consistently tasty food, the square burgers are quirky and fun, it’s inexpensive, and they offer something no other chain does: the Frosty. In fact, so beloved is that delicious frozen dessert that social media has collectively decided that the only way to enjoy Wendy’s french fries is to dip them in an original Frosty and to be frank, they’re not wrong.

  1. Wendy’s is often outdone on fries. If we’re talking about who has the best fast-food fries, McDonald’s wins on this one, particularly when they’re fresh. Wendy’s has some okay-tasting ones and I’ll gladly eat them, but if I had to choose between Wendy’s and McDonald’s fries, McDonald’s would get it every time despite the fact that Wendy’s uses sea salt and keeps the skin on their potatoes.
  2. The Frosty is one of the best fast-food menu items. Yes, McDonald’s shakes and their soft serve is nice, but the Wendy’s frosty is kind of the best of both worlds. It’s creamy but super thick, it’s not too sweet but delightfully chocolatey (because it actually has a touch of vanilla in it), and it’s unlike anything else you can get at a drive-thru.
  3. Combine the two and you get a little magic. Dipping your Wendy’s fries in your Frosty offers the perfect combo of taste, texture, and temperature. The hot fries in the cold Frosty is particularly satisfying, not to mention the combo of saltiness of the fries with the sweetness of the Frosty. Also, the Frosty is extremely smooth and creamy while the fries have a bit of crispy crunch. It’s a win-win in every possible way.
  4. If you’re hungry after reading this, you’re not alone. Seriously, just writing this has made me want to get up from my desk and go to Wendy’s, like, now. I’ll at least try to hold out until lunchtime, but no promises.
