Bette Midler Calls For Ban On Viagra Because ‘Limp D***’ Is ‘God’s Will’

Bette Midler has called for Viagra to be outlawed after the US Supreme Court overturned Roe vs Wade, thereby all but banning abortion in more than half the country. The 76-year-old took to Twitter to vent her anger over the decision, hitting back at conservatives who believe pregnancy is “God’s will” and that women should be forced to give birth to children regardless of whether or not they want to or it is safe to do so.

  1. To be fair, she has a point. “Time to ban Viagra. Because if pregnancy is ‘God’s will,’ then so is your limp d***,” she wrote. This makes a lot of sense. After all, if the argument is that pregnancy is a natural thing and what your body is meant to do, then surely if your body stops being able to get it up, you should heed God’s Plan and just accept it, right? Rather than taking a pill trying to change your circumstances to make yourself happier?
  2. Needless to say, people were living for it. While we often expect to hear younger celebrities speak out about major political issues, Midler is a living legend and her willingness to so bluntly call out this horrific injustice is refreshing and much-needed. She’s never been shy about speaking her mind, and she wasn’t about to start just when women’s rights are being dismantled even further.
  3. That’s not all Midler had to say. While Bette Midler’s call for a ban on Viagra was the tweet that got the most attention, she’s been sounding off in numerous messages since the decision was announced alst week. “They did it. THEY DID IT TO US! #SCOTUS has overturned #RoevWade, enshrined in the Constitution as settled law for over 50 years,” she wrote in her initial reaction. “How dare they? This #SCOTUS is absolutely tone-deaf to the will and even the actual needs of the American people. #WakeUpAmerica.”
  4. Men could just… get a vasectomy? While women get all the blame for getting pregnant, last time I checked, it takes sperm to create an embryo. That means men are equal partners in this (and often forceful partners when women aren’t particularly willing). If conservatives are worried about pregnancies, surely men could get vasectomies so that they could screw their brains out without worrying about knocking anyone up? After all, it’s totally reversible and doesn’t take much healing time, so it only seems fair if they want to keep getting laid, right? Oh right, I forgot this is all about controlling women’s bodies. My mistake.
