Brad Pitt Once Bid $120,000 For A Night With Emilia Clarke

While celebrities have plenty of fans who’d love to get an opportunity to meet their favorite star, celebs get starstruck too. That was clearly the case for Brad Pitt, who once bid $150,000 for the opportunity to spend a night with “Game of Thrones” actress Emilia Clarke.

Before you get carried away, we should clarify: Pitt’s bid came as part of a charity silent auction in Los Angeles hosted by Sean Penn in 2017. And the “night” the winner would get to spend with Clarke wasn’t anything R-rated. Instead, they’d get to watch “Game of Thrones” with her or something equally as innocent.

Appearing on “The Graham Norton Show,” Clarke recalled all the stars who turned up for the auction. “There was this auction thing that happened. They called me and were like do you want to auction something off like an experience, like watching the show with you?” she shared.

However, by the time the evening rolled around, she actually forgot she herself was on the auction block and freaked out.

“I suddenly remember that I’d said I’d auction something off, so the fear grows. I was petrified, absolutely petrified,” she remembered. She made a plan with a friend that they would bid on her so she wouldn’t feel completely mortified. However, it soon became clear one A-lister was happy to shell out even more cash to meet Emilia Clarke: Brad Pitt.

“I was like thanks very much, it’s very sweet and then someone else’s paddle went up on the other side of the room,” she revealed. The bidding war continued to grow, with Pitt continually increasing his offer until it reached a whopping $120,000.

Funny enough, that still wasn’t enough to win the auction. Pitt was outbid and never got to spend the evening with Clarke. It’s unclear who exactly did win and how much they ended up paying, but at least it went to a good cause.
