The sister of Brian Laundrie went on a camping trip with her family, including her brother, despite telling ABC News that she hadn’t seen the missing man since he returned to Florida. Two weeks ago, Cassie Laundrie said that while Brian returned to Florida without Gabby Petito on September 1, she couldn’t give any information on where he was or what he was up to because she hadn’t seen or spoken to him. That was a lie.
Cassie Laundrie went to the Fort De Soto campground with her family in early September. As NewsNationNow.com reporter Brian Entin confirmed, Cassie was at the campground with Brian and their parents, Roberta and Christopher. That’s strange considering she claimed he complete opposite only two weeks ago.
Laundrie family attorney Steven Bertolino confirmed that Cassie visited the campground. However, he claims that she wasn’t there that long and may not even have seen Brian. “To my knowledge, Cassie went for a day,” Bertolino confirmed to Entin via text. Entin then asked if Cassie was there at the same time as Brian, to which Bertolino responded, “idk.” Given that Brian was there the entire time, it’s sort of impossible for Cassie not to have seen her brother.
The police have now been made aware of Cassie’s presence at the campground. Bertolino later sent a follow-up text to Entin, likely realizing that there are potential legal ramifications to admitting Cassie’s previous claims were potentially untrue. He said in the message: “Cassie saw her brother Brian on September 01 when he stopped by her home and again on September 6 at Fort De Soto Park. Law enforcement agencies are well aware of these dates. Any prior communication by Cassie that does not reflect these dates is simply a difference of relating an answer to a question misinterpreted by Cassie or poorly posed by the inquirer.”
According to Brian Laundrie’s parents, he was last seen on September 14. However, they didn’t report him missing until September 17, which is… questionable. According to the parents, Brian was last seen going into the 24,000-acre Carlton Reserve in Florida. Authorities have yet to find any signs of him there, and Dog the Bounty Hunter is more interested in the campground as a potential search place.
