Britney Spears’ Team Doesn’t Think She’s Ready For Sit-Down Interviews To Promote Her Book

Britney Spears’ Team Doesn’t Think She’s Ready For Sit-Down Interviews To Promote Her Book Instagram

Britney Spears is only a few weeks away from releasing a tell-all memoir, and while most celebs would be doing plenty of interviews to promote the project, the “Toxic” singer’s team is doing everything in their power to keep that from happening. While major outlets are desperate to get a sit-down with Spears, it’s believed that she’s not ready for that kind of exposure.

  1. CBS’ “60 Minutes” is one of the biggest shows vying for some of Spears’ time. The program is pretty legendary and it’s incredibly well-respected, having featured interviews with celebrities, world leaders, and other public figures over the years. However, Spears’ team has nixed the offer, Page Six reports.
  2. Britney Spears’ Instagram posts have been a cause of concern. A source claimed the musical artist’s, who split from husband Sam Asghari earlier this year, erratic social media presence has left her team with concerns over what she might say or do during a televised interview.
  3. However, the decision is actually Spears’ to make. A separate insider said that while Britney Spears’ management and PR agents might not want her to talk, at the end of the day, she can do interviews if she wants to since it’s “solely” her decision. They added: “She’s a free woman. She’ll decide. It’s her choice. She’s had offers and she doesn’t want to do anything.”
  4. It would make sense if Spears never wanted to do an interview again. After all, the way the press has treated her over the years is absolutely disgusting, so it’s no wonder she wouldn’t want to subject herself to that treatment again. Page Six hears that Spears “has no desire” to have her “mental health, sexuality, parenting, and boy image constantly scrutinized.”
  5. Even if she never promotes the book, it should be full of some juicy tidbits. Spears previously insisted that the book would be a no-holds-bar tell-all. However, this week on Instagram, she hinted that might not necessarily be true. “There’s so much I’ve kept private that’s gone on with me personally and maybe one day I can let people know … until then, there’s 3 sides to every story!” she wrote. “Your side, my side, and the truth!”
