You like to kick back and enjoy a nice cold can of beer every once in a while, so why shouldn’t your dog get to join in on the fun? Now your canine companion can chug their own pet-friendly beverage because Busch released a new “beer” especially for dogs called Dog Brew.

  1. Technically speaking, it’s not actually beer. Obviously alcohol isn’t good for animals, so there’s none of it in here and it’s not even technically beer-flavored. Instead, Busch’s Dog Brew is actually a can of “bone broth full of dog-friendly flavors and nutrients,” according to the brand’s announcement of the product on Twitter.
  2. We share everything with our dogs, so why not beer? As Daniel Blake, Anheuser-Busch’s VP of value brands, said in a statement, “After a long day there’s nothing quite like having a Busch with a friend, and with so many new pet owners across America this year, we wanted to create a brew to give our fans a chance to share a Busch brew with their ‘best friend.'” Too true! Hey, it’s not like the dog is going to know it’s not real beer!
  3. It’ll be absolutely delicious to dogs. Given that the beer flavor is actually pork bone broth, it’s nice and meaty and they’re going to go nuts for it. You’ll just have to keep them from chugging too many of the 12-oz. cans at once, I suppose!
  4. A portion of the proceeds goes to Best Friends Animal Society. Not only can you feel good about treating your pooch to a nice drink, you can also feel good knowing that a portion of the money from each four-pack goes to help other animals in need. “We’re proud to be able to partner with Best Friends Animal Society and continue our efforts to help those furry friends still looking for a home,” Blake said in the release.
  5. The first batch is already sold out! However, if you’re desperate to share a beer with your dog, Busch has a waiting list you can sign up for here.
