Busch isn’t trying to discriminate here — their free beer offer is open to couples who simply had to change their big day, whether that’s by moving it to a Zoom affair, socially distancing with a witness standing on the other side of your back yard, whatever. If your wedding day isn’t what you planned it to be, you’re eligible.
- This is the perfect wedding gift. A year’s worth of free Busch beer sounds like a pretty sweet way to begin celebrating your life with your partner, I’d say. After all, is there anything better than kicking back with the person you love after a long day and enjoying a drink together? (The answer is no.)
- Busch knows it’s important to celebrate love. As Daniel Blake, VP of value brands at Anheuser-Busch, said in a statement, “Wedding season is approaching and we’ve seen many stories of couples having to adjust and cancel their plans. Busch still wanted to offer these couples a chance for a wedding gift and a reason to celebrate their love regardless of our unprecedented situation.” That seems pretty generous to me.
- It’s unclear exactly how much a year’s worth of free beer is. Busch hasn’t disclosed exactly how much beer the 250 lucky couples will receive, only that it should be enough to last you a year. Most likely, you’ll get coupons for a free case or two every month for 12 months, but don’t quote me on that.
- It’s easy to enter. If you had spring wedding plans and want a chance at winning a year’s worth of free Busch beer, entering the sweepstakes is easy. All you need to do is post a photo of yourself and your partner on social media with the hashtags #BuschWeddingGift and #Sweepstakes and say how you plan to celebrate regardless of the global health crisis. Oh, and you’ll need to do it before May 1 for your entry to count.
