California CEO Caught On Camera Beating And Choking His Dog

A Los Angeles CEO was caught on camera cruelly abusing his dog.  Jeffrey Previte, who runs an environmental consulting firm in the city, can be seen pulling the dog up by its collar and choking and smacking the animal. While the dog has thankfully since been rehomed with an owner who will love and care for him properly and Previte has apologized, there’s no excuse for this blatant cruelty.

  1. A desk attendant at the parking garage where it happened discovered the abuse. The attendant heard the dog crying and later decided to look back at the video to see what was going on. There, he saw Previte in plain site yanking the dog by its collar after it began to pee before flying into a violent rage. The desk attendant was horrified and told The Daily Mail he alerted Previte to the fact that he would be reporting the incident to management.
  2. The building management didn’t take the complaint seriously. While the attendant feels that his concerns were swept under the carpet and ignored, building management told The Daily Mail in a statement: “The apparent conduct of the unit owner was abhorrent and completely unacceptable. Building management stands behind our employee and we took swift action including contacting animal control and directing the resident to cease all contact with our employee.”
  3. Previte didn’t think he’d done anything wrong. He insisted that his behavior was just fine and also tried to claim that the parking garage attendant tried to blackmail him for cash to keep the incident quiet, which is completely unsubstantiated.
  4. Of course, he later backtracked and apologized. Previte admitted to TMZ that he “took unreasonable and unjustifiable action” and said he feels terrible for what he did to his dog, Bici. He also claimed that the singular incident in the parking garage doesn’t represent how the pair usually interacted and that Bici had “an exceptional life full of nature and affection.” Yeah, okay.
  5. The dog has thankfully found a loving family. Previte at least did the right thing by rehoming Bici. He’s also apparently taking a leave of absence from his job (unclear whether or not that was voluntary, of course) and enrolled in an anger management class. He also claims to be dedicating time and money to animal rescue organizations.
