Now that you’re spending pretty much every waking hour indoors, it’s important to keep yourself occupied so you don’t go crazy. Whether you’re putting together jigsaw puzzles, working on DIY projects, or taking online courses, there’s plenty of stuff to occupy your time. And if video games are more your style, you might be interested to know that Call of Duty: Modern Warfare‘s online multiplayer mode is free to play all this weekend!
- The first-person shooter, made by Infinity Ward, has been incredibly popular. In fact, its Warzone free-to-play mode had more than 30 million players in the first 10 days after release. That’s impressive! And now, even the pay-to-play portion of the game is free for all players this weekend.
- The offer is only available from April 3 through April 6. From 6 p.m. BST tonight, the online multiplayer area will open up the Atlas Superstore and Shoot House maps, which will move through Team Deathmatch, Domination, Hardpoint, Kill Confirmed, and Headquarters modes.
- It’s Activision’s way of getting you hooked. Admittedly, allowing everyone access to Call of Duty: Modern Warfare’s multiplayer mode for free for a short period of time makes it more likely that people will actually subscribe to a paid version after the trial is over. As Activision wrote in a blog post, “That’s right: all Modern Warfare and free-to-play Warzone players can square up together in a varied and fast-paced Multiplayer Moshpit, all weekend long. If you haven’t played Modern Warfare Multiplayer, now’s the chance to see what you’ve missed. - Of course, you’ll have to download Warzone first. And apparently, it’s a really huge file, coming somewhere between 80 GB and 100 GB in size. That means you’ll have to have plenty of free space on your internal or external HD and a lot of patience too. You’d better get your download started now!
