Charlie Hunnam Wants To Bring Back His “Sons Of Anarchy” Character Jax Teller FX

Charlie Hunnam’s “Sons of Anarchy” character Jax Teller may have died on screen, but that hasn’t stopped the actor from wanting to bring him back. Generally speaking, once a character dies, any hope of resurrection seems pretty silly. However, in the world of fiction, anything can be undone via clever writing, so it’s certainly a possibility here.

  1. He’s been toying with the idea for a while now. Hunnam opened up about his hopes for the character in an interview with Access. “Seeing as you ask, I have an idea that I’m exploring in its infancy that [Jax’s return] could be a possibility,” he revealed. “And it would be something that I’d be incredibly excited about. So we’re sort of, like I said, we’re in the infancy of exploring the viability of the idea but next time I talk to you hopefully I’ll have information on that.”
  2. Fans are pretty excited about the idea. After hearing the news, fans took to Twitter to express their support for the idea of Charlie Hunnam returning to Sons of Anarchy. “It’d be great to see him reprise the role of Jax from SOA!” one person wrote. Another added: “Yes! Yes! Yes! Interested for sure.” A third agreed, writing: “I’m most def interested! Let’s push it! Let’s goooooo.”
  3. “Sons of Anarchy” ended in 2014. While there’s been a spinoff called Mayans MC that’s currently in its fifth season, it doesn’t quite compare to the original. Now, the idea of a prequel to Sons of Anarchy is being explored, which would make it possible for Hunnam to reprise his role.
  4. All plans to bring “Sons of Anarchy” back are currently on hold. That’s because creator Kurt Sutter was fired after several people came forward accusing him of “unprofessional behavior.” Sutter has always denied the claims, writing in an email obtained by Deadline: “They claim the intel suggests that I created a climate of hostility, favouritism and enabled a set where no one felt safe or appreciated. I’m not saying it was all sunshine and roses, but I’m close with most of those guys and they love going to work. I’m also not sure how, having been on set … maybe three times all season, I was able to singularly create that much damage.”
  5. Nevertheless, Charlie Hunnam is still remaining hopeful. It’s uncertain whether or not he’ll ever make bringing Jax Teller back a reality. However, it’s clear fans are behind the idea and would love it if it happened.
