Chris Evans has been officially named the ‘Sexiest Man Alive’ by People magazine for 2022. The “Captain America” star is undoubtedly conventionally attractive, but apparently, his peak hotness outshined all of the other men being considered for the honor. Pretty flattering, right?

- Chris Evans never would have expected to be named the sexiest man alive. In fact, the 41-year-old told People that when he was growing up, he never expected to be attractive or successful. “This would probably be the road to the cool table which I was not at,” he told the publication.
- At least his mom will love it! Evans went on to tell People that his mom is his biggest fan and she’d be particularly excited about his new title. “My mom will be so happy. She’s proud of everything I do but this is something she can really brag about,” he joked. “This whole thing is tough to be interviewed about. It feels like a weird form of humble bragging.”
- Finally, a bit of equality! People magazine decided to ask Evans a question typically reserved for female stars: whether he might like to get married and have kids one day. “That’s absolutely something I want,” he responded. “Some things you want just for you, or just for my family and my friends.” In other words, it’s none of our business (nor should it be). In the meantime, he loves showing off his dog on social media.
- Chris Evans joins a long list of ‘sexiest man alive’ winners. Previous honorees include Paul Rudd, Hugh Jackman, David Beckham, Dwayne Johnson, and Michael B. Jordan. It was Rudd who won in 2021, and to say he was shocked was an understatement. “When I think about myself, I think of myself as a husband and a father, like I’m that. I just hang out with my family when I’m not working. That’s what I kind of like the most,” he told People at the time.
