You Can Stay In The Costa Rican Rainforest Surrounded By Sloths

If you consider yourself to be an adventurous person, a journey deep into the Costa Rican rainforest might seem like a dream getaway. Not only is it is an incredible privilege to be surrounded by so much natural beauty but if you visit Nayara Hotels, you’ll get the added bonus of being in the midst of sloths! Does it get any better than this? I don’t think so.

  1. These sister resorts really do have it all. Nayara Springs and Nayara Resort are both situated in Arenal Volcano National Park. There are 15 acres worth of beautiful gardens and 15 resident sloths on hand to fill up your Instagram feed with adorable photos. The wooden villas offered to guests let you stay right in the middle of the action and will give you an experience you’ll never forget.
  2. The sloth sanctuary on the grounds opened in 2017. Back then, they only had two sloths, but after planting 300 cecropia trees, more sloths joined the preserve so they could eat from the trees. While you’ll likely spot them amongst the trees during your stay, you can always go on a guided walking tour with a member of staff who will help you out.
  3. There are plenty of other adventures to be had. Not only can you chill out in the midst of the beautiful rainforest with a bunch of sloths, you can also go on ziplining, canyoning, and water rafting excursions during your stay. Plus, there’s loads of other wildlife to appreciate in addition to the sloths like green iguanas and plenty of exotic birds. This just gets better and better.
  4. Stays start at $390 a night, so get saving. While not cheap, it seems like a pretty fair price to be surrounded by so much beauty both at the resort and in terms of its surroundings. If you’re planning a vacation in the coming year, staying with sloths in the rainforest should definitely be at the top of your list.
