Cristiano Ronaldo has sadly announced that his baby son has died. The footballer took to Instagram on Monday, April 18 to reveal that he and wife Georgina Rodriguez were heartbroken over the loss, writing: “It is with our deepest sadness that we have to announce that our baby boy has passed away.”

- The couple is experiencing “the greatest pain.” The statement went on to say: “It is the greatest pain that any parent can feel. Only the birth of our baby girl gives us the strength to live this moment with some hope and happiness. We would like to thank the doctors and nurses for all their expert care and support.”
- It’s unclear exactly what happened to the baby boy. Ronaldo did not elaborate any further on the baby’s death, instead understandably asking fans for “privacy at this very difficult time.” They added: “Our baby boy, you are our angel. We will always love you.”
- Ronaldo and Rodriguez announced the pregnancy in October 2021. The couple revealed that they were expecting twins at the time. Ronaldo already has four children, twins Eva Marie and Mateo, son Cristiano Jr., and daughter Alana Martina.
