This Dad And Daughter Wore Matching Tutus For An Adorable Photoshoot

The bond between parent a child is special, especially the connection between dads and their daughters. While many men would bristle at the suggestion of donning a tutu to match with their little girls, Texas-based Casey Fields was happy to put on some pink tulle for a gorgeous photoshoot with his 1-year-old daughter Lyla.

Read on to find out more about how the photos came about and see the rest of the incredible photos.

  1. Photographer Jenn Floyd is behind the beautiful pictures. Fields and his daughter loved being in front of the camera and were happy to take part in a variety of activities for the photoshoot, from dad painting his daughter’s nails to coloring together. It was an incredible bonding experience for them both and the pictures are something they can keep and cherish forever.
  2. Lyla’s mom made the tutus! According to Floyd, the dad turned up to the shoot with the tutus in hand, and while he was initially nervous about putting his on, it actually worked out amazingly well. “Casey showed up with adorable tutus, handmade by the baby’s mom, whom he co-parents with,” Floyd told My Modern Met. “He was a little nervous at first but quickly fell into the role of being a loving, involved father, just as he is on any other day. The rest played out seamlessly.”
  3. Floyd never could have expected the amazing response she would receive. After sharing the photos of the father and daughter in their tutus on her Facebook page, the likes, comments, and shares starting pouring in. It was a response Floyd never could have dreamed of. “I intended for my followers to get a few smiles out of the session, but when we hit 1000 shares in less than 12 hours, I was blown away,” she admitted. “Now we’re almost to 60,000 shares and we are still overwhelmed, excited, and speechless!”
  4. There’s one important message here. According to Floyd, it’s this: “Sometimes the best thing a parent can do for their child is to connect with them, on their level. Casey thought it would be funny and I thought it would be precious. I think we were both correct. You’re never too old to make someone smile.” I couldn’t agree more!
