It’s hard to believe it’s been just about eight years since Desperate Housewives went off the air. The hit ’00s drama was the most rewarding hot mess of a show and frankly, I miss it. If you do too, you’ll be excited to know that there’s a Desperate Housewives reunion coming this weekend and it just so happens to be for a great cause.
- Take me back to Wisteria Lane!! While I would love to say this is going to be a whole new season of episodes, sadly, it’s a one-off. Thankfully, Eva Longoria and Marcia Cross will be back for the Desperate Housewives reunion, as will Vanessa Williams, Brenda Strong, and Dana Delaney.
- It’s not really a Desperate Housewives episode, to be fair. The cast members above will come together for an episode of Stars in the House, a live-streamed web show hosted by Siriux XM’s Seth Rudetsky and James Wesley that raises money for The Actors Fund. The first episode, which aired on March 16, raised more than $130,000, according to Deadline.
- So how does it work? All of the stars join the hosts via video link from their own houses (social distancing at its finest!) and everyone sings and chats, with viewers able to donate money to some great causes between performances. What’s not to love? If there anything I wanted more than a Desperate Housewives reunion, it’s a reunion with them all singing. Hilarious!
- Desperate Housewives isn’t the only show having a reunion. Throughout the week, Stars in the House will reunite the casts of Barry, Young Sheldon, and Disney’s Jessie.
