Dill Pickle Bread Is The Savory Snack That’s Not For The Weak Of Heart

There’s no denying that dill pickles are basically a savory snack lover’s dream. That’s why it sucks that all of this quarantine baking has focused on sweet stuff like banana bread. Thankfully, those of us without a sweet tooth no longer have to miss out on the fun because dill pickle bread exists and you can make it, like, now.

  1. You probably already have most of the ingredients on hand. In addition to dill pickles (duh!), making this bread requires flour, baking powder, salt, garlic powder, olive oil, eggs, sugar, sour cream, and some dill, at least according to the recipe posted on Savory Moments.
  2. Dill pickle bread has an insane amount of pickle flavor. Not only do you put chopped up dill pickles in but the pickle juice gets used too! The combo of the two ensures your bread will come out with optimum flavor and I don’t know about you but I’m totally here for it.
  3. It’s great for snacks or mealtimes. While dill pickle bread isn’t a meal unto itself, it does make a nice addition to meals, whether served on the side of some chili with loads of butter on it or maybe under eggs as part of a savory breakfast? I’m not here to tell you how to enjoy such a delicious treat. That’s totally up to you.
  4. This one is not for the faint of heart. It goes without saying that if you don’t love pickles, you won’t love this and you should probably stick to banana bread. However, if you’re a fan of the salty, bitter taste, this is basically the most perfect recipe ever and super creative too. Make some for yourself, your pickle-loving relatives (as long as you can deliver it while safely social distancing, of course), and anyone else you know who might enjoy it. It’s just that good. Happy eating!
