Dill Pickle Moonshine Exists Because Only Alcohol Could Make This Savory Snack Better

Pretty much everyone loves dill pickles, and rightfully so. They’re salty, tangy, briny, and downright delicious. I don’t know anyone who doesn’t appreciate a nice alcoholic beverage now and again (or, you know, often) either. Well, now you can combine the two because Tennessee distillery Ole Smoky has created dill pickle moonshine — or moonshine dill pickles, if you will — that put both in one jar.

  1. So is it dill pickles or moonshine? Well, it’s kind of both. The jar is full of dill pickles that are soaked in moonshine, making the pickles an excellent addition to cocktails like the Bloody Mary or just when you want a boozy snack. You can also drink the pickle-flavored moonshine that they were soaked in, if that’s your thing.
  2. Whether you enjoy them together or separately, they’re pretty tasty. Maybe you love dill pickles and want some with a bit of a kick. Crunch on these bad boys! Maybe you want a pickle-infused alcohol but don’t really want a snack right now. Pour out some of the moonshine and have at it!
  3. You can add the dill pickles into basically any recipe. You don’t even have to use them in cocktails just because they’re soaked in moonshine. What about adding them to egg or potato salad or something? That would certainly put a spin on the classic! If you can dream it, you can add moonshine-soaked dill pickles to it, is what I’m saying.

If you happen to be local to the distillery, you could always do a pickup, though I’m sure rules have changed somewhat given the global health crisis happening right now.
